Samsung SGH-i780
Its what I have, GSM Arena say it has "Unlimted" sms storage, Im almost believeing that lol, I currently have 5000 SMS's in my inbox, 1000 ish sent, and 2700 deleted.

I believe most phones that can have expandable memory can have "Unlimited" SMS storage.

Most newer phones usually have some form of memory card slot, and usually you can tell the phone to store contacts, messages, etc.. in its own memory, or on the memory card. Or a combination of the 2. Or it decides for itself as the phone's memory gets full.

Not normally listed as a feature though, so not sure how you'd know without playing with the phone first, and going through its options.

"Unlimited" is just such a simple word for "A very, very, very large amount of space". I had about 200 SMS's in my inbox, but i always clean them up. I can't see why people would need 1000 SMS's, but that's up to the person i suppose.

No, its not a PDA nor a BlackBerry, Its a normal, typical phone with so many features people believe its a PDA or BlackBerry.

In Aus, it retails for 700AUD, So thats around 350USD

Not always true. My phone has a micro-SD expansion slot, and I have a 2GB card for it, but it only lets me store pictures, music, and video on the card. Ringtones and all in/out text messages are stored only on the phone.

It's extremely lame because it can only hold up to 50 messages in and 50 out, so I'm stuck clearing it multiple times per week. >_<
