I was lookin all over m computer to find the brand so I could have it handy when I someone asked, but for the life of me I cant seem to find it, checked device manager and everthing. ( As you can tell Im not super savy with computers =[ )

Did you open the computer and looked for a label or anything that could come in handy?
Sometimes just taking the entire device out of the computer helps.

...I dont know why I didnt think of that lol. Ill give that a try when I get back home, my dad is real good with computers and apparently those traits went right over my head. =P

Just to be sure, since nobody else asked, does it read the CD/DVD at all whenever you open "My Computer", right click on the drive icon, and click "Explore"?
