Join Date: November 25th, 2003 Status: Drunk Rep Power: 35 | Re: 4850 running lower clocks....? Its clocking itself down while idle. Just to check though, you can look and see what clock speeds the Catalyst drivers themselves showing (Click "ATI Overdrive" to get a readout).
My 3850 always lowers it core clock while idle (not the mem though), all the way down to 300Mhz. Once you start gaming, its automatically clocked back up to 670Mhz. |
