Hey Kudos Man, I just recently stepped outta the darkness as well. To B'Mark Q3, open up the console with the ~ key. To display fps type "/cg_drawfps 1", if you want to use the built in demos to b'mark, type "/timedemo 1" at the console, then run the demo's. If you patch q3a to 127 (i think thats the newest one), there's another command line that you will have to type to run the demo's, but I have long since forgotten what that is...sorry! If you are still using the outta the box q3a, you should just be able to choose the demo you want from the menu screen...(this is after you entered the timedemo command), run the demo, then when its finished hit the console key again to display the results. Have fun, and remember, a benchmark is just a benchmark, 3d mark 2000 and 2001 is not a game, as long as you can enjoy the game, a benchmark dosen't really matter. -Jack |
