You need to have admin access.

Installing blocker ~_^ are you high?
Can you screenshot it?
Cause I use Vista as my main OS now, nothing blocks me from installing programs, unless you are refering to UAC, which is homo gay but is to patch up holes in IE

He's not on an Admin account, so he's being asked for an Admin password(?) Have never used an account that's not Admin, so I don't know what happens, lol. And dude, you're asking us to hack Microsoft's newest OS for you (That's the only way you'll get what you want without a password), what do you think the chances of that are? ;)

Vista has standard user accounts?
lol jokes, but I just created a standard admin user account when I setup Vista, never had an issue, so unless for some strange strange reason you setup your Vista to have a registered user as the first account (which is a bad idea)

One of two things, whomever is the root user can give you administrative access - providing there isn't a reason for you not already having it. Or getting the root user to disable User Account Control.

It's quite clear that he isn't the root user, thus why he doesn't have an administrative account. If he had been the person to setup the OS, he wouldn't need to have made the thread.

Re: help with vista

Depending on what you want to do exactly, you may look for a portable version of your application, or one that comes in a (self-extracting) archive rather than an installer.

YAY! Neg Rep for asking a question, how very deserved that was, Im sorry for asking a question people, i forget that its bad to not know everything...
Damn touchy people who can't take questions

Anyways, its not clear he doesn't have an admin account, he said the install blocker, which could be UAC, DAP, Firewall, even Windows Defender or Spybot TT!!
So you know, a little bit of clarification on his part wouldn't go astray

Re: help with vista

It's safe to assume he is talking about Vista's non-administrative account install protection, since he did reference it.

the only way to bypass it is to have an administrator account and modify group permissions to specifically allow your group to be able to install programs.

So from your end, no there is no way to bypass it.
