Mp3 players I'm looking for an mp3 player of about 20 GB storage capacity, something that preferably doesn't need a separate program, but that's not entirely necessary. iPods could do, but...I'm not a huge fan. I definitely don't want a Sony (bad experiences) or anything that necessarily needs Windows Media Player (I hate that thing). Any suggestions? |
Re: Mp3 players Creative Zen, 16 or 32gig models. I have the 8 gig, & it is amazing. Great picture, ultra small, awesome sound reproduction. Can use its own media center, or any media player(wmp, winamp, etc) ZEN - World's first 32GB flash media player |
Re: Mp3 players Sounds good, although 32 GB is much more than I need...still, definitely worth a look, thanks! |
Re: Mp3 players Well, I just bought an 8 GB iPod Touch and so far I'm quite impressed (And this is coming from someone who previously despised all iPods and the sheep who bought all their accessories - that much hasn't really changed). Do you really have 20 GB of music? I've got about 10 albums I regularly listen to and they took up about 1.2 GB. That's including some of the songs I don't like as much and a couple of those albums are double and triple discs. I could probably get it down to 800 MB or so and the sound quality is good. |
Re: Mp3 players Actually, I have somewhere around 14 GB...years of collecting albums. So I need something to store them onto. |
Re: Mp3 players Ah, well I have a friend with an older 60 GB Creative MP3 player and he likes it. It's quite plain though, kind of brick shaped. Heh, I know someone here who's selling an 80 GB iPod for $100 if ya want! |
Re: Mp3 players Seriously? I'd definitely be interested |
Re: Mp3 players Yeah, it's on my local Craigslist. No idea how much shipping would be, Icespeed was supposed to be shipping me a video card from the UK but he hasn't yet otherwise I'd have a vague idea on shipping costs. |
Re: Mp3 players Eh Im a computer tech in a store that buys and sells used PC gear. I bought a iPaq that has a external piggyback sleeve with a extra battery and a CF card slot. Threw in a 2GB CF and D/L core media player and I can listen to MP3's on it. Found another program that lets me rip DVD'S and Videos to the iPaq's windows format and lets me play movies on it. And when Im bored with music I can watch videos and play solitaire. |
Re: Mp3 players I'd advise against a PDA. I had one (Dell Axim X5) and I thought I'd do the same thing. Not true. They're more of a pain to use than something that is more centered around playing music. Plus if she wants to hold around 20 GB of music it'd be kinda hard with a PDA unless she carried around a bunch of memory cards. Not to mention, some of the nicer ones can get very pricy - right up there with MP3 players. |
Re: Mp3 players I don't really need anything fancy, no need for watching videos or anything...I just need something with enough storage for all my music. Shintsu, if shipping isn't obscene, I might seriously be interested |
Re: Mp3 players Alright, I'll see if I can find anything about international shipping rates. As long as there isn't any kind of difference in the iPod itself (Nothing region locked or anything) I don't see why it wouldn't work. Where would you want it shippied to country wise? |
Re: Mp3 players Either UK or Croatia, I don't mind which of the two |
