OpenGL problem

whenever I open a program that uses OpenGL, I get graphical corruption like my drivers are corrupt

is there a way to force programs to use DirectX or reinstall the drivers?

If its programmed exclusively using OGL then there is no way of forcing it to use DirectX. You might find a different binary for DirectX, however if it was programmed using OGL then I'd say thats unlikely.

Windows hasn't supported OGL itself since the 9x codebase, since then its been handled by your graphics card drivers. If your having problems I would try updating to the latest version of the driver, or regressing to a stable version if its a problem with the latest version.

Have you tried an older version of the drivers?

i had a similar problem with my graphics card
this is what hapened to me,
i installed the vista drivers off the cd
open gl didnt work
then i updated off of the site for the newest drivers, they didnt work either
i forget what i did, but i then went back to the old driver and that didnt work

anyway this is how i got it to work

i COMPLETELY uninstalled the driver
letting it use the crappy windows one that registered the card as a 16mb one
then installed the drivers again off the cd from scratch
that did the trick

so if that sounds like what you're going through you might want to give that a try
