Tell me is it true that cross over wire and simple RJ45 cables can only carry up to 1 mega byte a second...I mean I saw the transfer rate using this FTP program so I am assuming I'm right. It was only transfering not even 1mb but 900 Kb a second, thats kilo bytes not kilo bits cause FTP server programs for some reason read in bytes.

I have a feeling my cables are a issue in my network at the moment, cause I can't seem to transfer 600 mb efficiently without having a disturbing error message "the specified device is not responding " bla bla, this is after approximately 80% of my files had been transfered. (talking about 600 mb file transfer).

mmmmmm dunno...
