New problem.. with dll's? The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly. The relocation occurred because the DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\shell32.dll occupied an address range reserved for Windows systems DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL. sigh.. it's just one problem after another with this computer. anyone know how i can fix this one? i couldn't find any updates or hotfixes that work. |
Re: New problem.. with dll's? Did you install LastFM like this other mate did ? ^^ |
Re: New problem.. with dll's? Who? O.O what is this LastFM you speak of?! |
Re: New problem.. with dll's? there is another person posting the EXACT same problem, but i think for a different reason, and a program called lastFM is giving it to him i'll give you the same advice i gave him " i would try repairing the windows files put in your xp cd, and boot from it, next hit 'r' for repair, select your version of windows you want to work on (as long as you dont have a dual boot it will only give you one option) next enter the administrator password if it asks now type in the following command chkdsk c: /r this will run the standard check disk (which normally is a waste of time because it usually says "found errors" and doesnt do anything however with the xp cd in and the /r command if it finds errors if it can it fixes them with the files off the disk hopefully that should work, or at least its a good place to start" |
Re: New problem.. with dll's? is that the only way to fix this problem? i don't have my windows disc handy :[ |
Re: New problem.. with dll's? You could try the chkdsk /f switch. You will have to allow it to restart the computer, just like if you used the /r switch. But I know that the /f switch does not need the windows disc (atleast I've never had to use it). |

i have been reading up on some articles and i've heard that bricopacks from crystal XP cause this problem.. but now i can't figure out how to uninstall it. it's not in my add/remove programs or program files even T.T |
Re: New problem.. with dll's? Unless you installed that program then it is not causing any problems. What I'm saying is... Click Start -> Run... Then type in "cmd" without the quotes and press enter. Then type in "chkdsk /f" without the quotes; it should ask you if you want to schedule the check to run on the next restart, respond with yes, then restart the computer. |

Your's fixes a problem when Hhctrl.ocx tries to load before the user32.dll does; his is a problem deals with the shell32.dll. Also, if he uses automatic updates, in any form, he would have already gotten this. And that update does not deal with the particular program that he has installed. To: Orpheo, if you already uninstalled it and the problem still persists, the only thing you can do is repair the original file. |
Re: New problem.. with dll's? If you would be so kind as to read the link that I posted and his problem, you will see that they are in fact relevant. Quote:

Re: New problem.. with dll's? omg stop fighting :[! i'm having a problem finding out where to uninstall crystal XP.. is there anything special i have to do? |
Re: New problem.. with dll's? No, your quite Right. I should have typed 928843 instead of 925902, my mistake. As I suspect your going to say something along the lines of "thats not what the article says" I thought I would explain my reasoning. This is the error message he's getting:- Quote:

My guess is that uninstalling security update 928843 would revert the Hhctrl.ocx file to a different base address that dosen't conflict with the other BricoPack Vista Inspirat from CrystalXP. This is the same guess I tool with last FM, with the substitution of 928843 for 925902. Basically the only way of seeing if it is the problem is trying it. No, it may not work even then. However, I think there is a very good chance it will. If you do want to uninstall BricoPack then these steps are required: Quote:

1) You could go to Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel and Highlight CrystalXP and then click Remove. 2) You could use the uninstaller the program provides by clicking the link in the Start Menu group (Provided that it shows the link). 3) If you cannot use step 2, you could try to find the program's uninstaller through the Program Files folder, just look for it in the CrystalXP folder, could be hidden in some subfolders. More than likely, the uninstaller in an executable file with "un" somewhere in the name. |
