Best General Video Card out there

Just wondering what the best video card for generally most tasks is? Which card has the highest bandwidth, the most stable drivers or the fastest 3D acceleration?

Probably not quite the right question.

I think you should also be considering how much you want to spend, requirements for compatibility with older games, outputs needed to maybe TV or digital flat panel, will it be AGP or PCI, whether you need video editing (well it's possible) and what kind of PC it will be used in.

Try answering that lot first.
