Video Card help (again)

Well, Christmas is coming up and my parents said to tell them what I wanted. I want a new video card, but I have no idea which one. I want to run CoD4 at at least 150 frames per second at the slowest. What video card would I need and how much would it cost and stuff?

Well, at least as smooth as this... YouTube - Call of Duty 4 -- Arcade Mode

A good card right now is the 8800GT

Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!

It'll run ya around $300

How would this card do on CoD4? As good as yours STALKER? Better? Worse or what? How many FPS would I get with that? Nvidia Geforce 8600 GT 512MB PCIE 8600GT Directx10 HDCP - (eBay item 250188294897 end time Nov-20-07 11:57:22 PST)

I wouldn't get a 8600, the 8800GT smashes it in all tests. The 8800GT would run Call of Duty flawlessly.

It "smashes" with the settings and all that maxed out, right? Would this one work just as well? EGVA 8800GT SUPERCLOCKED 650mhz 512MB *Brand New* EGVA - (eBay item 120186528536 end time Nov-21-07 07:12:44 PST)

Yeah, thats a good card. What are your other specs, because even if you have a good card if you mobo/CPU/RAM are crap they will still slow you down.

Thats good enough, you'll be all set with a 8800GT.

On High settings but with a low resolution like 1024x768 or 1024x1024, but not 1600x1200 or above. Flawlessly is a relative term in this case, depending on your resolution.
