I doubt that is any more than 60fps tops, most likely around 30-45. There is no way to tell what res, settings, the person was using.

So would the video card that you recommended me do that? And what would be highest settings I could go with that still staying that smooth?

What is your budget, the card i mentioned before will work just fine. My 7950GT runs it at most things on high just fine

A good card right now is the 8800GT

Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!

It'll run ya around $300

Amen 8800 GT best card for your buck right now.

Why do you need that much fps btw ?
Its useless and yes i think its possible if you want to play on a low resolution + low graphical settings. ( not like 150 fps will benefit you in any way over 50 fps )
The 8800 GT is a bit less powerful then the 8800 GTX however its not that much of a difference and worth getting.
As posted before make sure you have PCI and have enough memory + processor power.

Listen, your not going to notice the difference between 40 FPS and 150 FPS. Your eyes simply will not see the difference and it will look exactly the same. You dont need that much FPS.

The 8800GT for $300 will suite your needs, if you can afford $300 go for it, if not, go for the slightly less powerful Radeon 3870 for about $220.

BTW: You better not "think" you have a PCI-E x16 slot. you have to have one if you want to use any of these videocards. If you buy them and end up not having a PCI-E x16 slot, then you just wasted your money and you wont be able to use the videocard. So you better find out if you have one or not.

Stay away from ati currently tbh.
I have a 2900 XT and so does my bro and it's drivers bsod's a lot ( using latest drivers, even a fresh windows install didn't help )
Seems to be a driver mess right now, i advice going for Nvidia.

Indeed. Most monitors are incapable of properly rendering images at framerates in excess of ~60-70fps anyway, so the point really is moot, unless you're out for bragging rights.

EpicLoad November 22nd, 2007 12:32 PM

Unless you're playing a graphic intense game, in which the difference between 30 fps and 70 fps is extremely noticeable in the amount of lag present.
