I think you'd be fine, I was able to pull off Medium @ 1280X1024 on a X800XT and get a steady 30-40FPS. The game is pretty well optimized, and it looks great too.

So what video card would get me at least 80 - 100 stable at that resalution and maxed out settings?

You could get HD3870 for less money than 8800GT and I bet soon ATI will release better driver that it will make it better than 8800GT

8800GTX in SLI config. You don't need it to run that fast, 30+ fps is more than enough for smooth gameplay

You mean in that video I posted that's only 30 fps? How many would you say that is?

You need to put a pic of that in your signature and just tell everybody: "sig". It would save you a lot of time.
