Here's the deal. Last night I shut down my pc properly after finishing a cd burn. Today I start up and the normal thing happends, I get to select my bootdrive and it continiues auto. Windows loading screen appears. But then, then nothing happends. No blue screen that says welcome. The screen just remains black. I tried safemode, the same only I can see that it hangs somewhere around the driver part. (Nothing changed as far as I know)
After some reboots I started up in debug mode (didn't know it was there). And it booted fine. But now, I want to figure out what the heck is wrong with it.
Sys specs are not needed since it's not the system thats going koekoee..
Any ideas, I'd be pleased to hear them.

I always blame that sort of thing on gremlins, it has happened before that windows just refused to start, but this was usually when crashing beforehand, only fix for that was mrformat.

If it isn't booting in safe mode, it has to do with your os system and the drivers associated with what is loaded in safemode ( as safemode loads only the barest of drivers).
What i would do is use the windows cd and try a repair install.... You won't ( you shouldn't ) lose any information, but it should repair the issues you are having...

Would a system restore be as good? I can't find my wincd at this moment..

Yes.. you can do a restore. It may not allow you to though .. Sometimes it's a little .... finicky.. But try it. It will let you know whether or not you can ....
