Music software? does it exist? I play guitar and piano. I was planning on custom building a PC from newegg. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone knew of any top-of-the-line program you can buy that allows you not only to record your own instruments, but also has like a "drum machine" and other instruments that are right on the PC. Literally it would be your own band in your house, only creating it through software, and of course I'll be using my own guitar, piano, and possibly bass guitar. So guess I just need drums. I just want it to sound real. Thanks guys. |
Yeah MJ, there are indeed programs like that out there, especially if you don't mind paying for them. Most seem to be MIDI oriented but many do have built in percussion and other instrument effects. Anvil and Orion are just two. Here's what I would do if I were you. Rather than trying to get advice here which is going to be minimal due to very few people having experience with this, consult your local musician stores and/or forums that specialize in PC created music. You may be surprised at how many stores that sell musical instruments have a strong knowledge and background in this type of software. Almost all the top bands out there use this kind of thing anymore along with communicating to one another via the internet to create their music. |
I don't know of any for Windows. If you were using a Mac i would have told you to use GarageBand but..... |
