| I've been saying for the past year I wanted to custom build a PC. Finally I saved up enough for it. its right around $1350, not over it though. -COOLER MASTER Centurion 5 CAC-T05-UW Black Aluminum Bezel, SECC ATX --Mid Tower Computer Case -ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce 570 SLI MCP ATX AMD Motherboard -EVGA 320-P2-N811-AR GeForce 8800GTS 320MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Video Card -AMD Athlon 64 FX-62 Windsor 2.8GHz Socket AM2 Dual Core Processor -OCZ Flex XLC 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory -Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD2500KS 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive -ViewSonic Optiquest Series Q20WB Black 20" 5ms DVI Widescreen LCD Monitor -LITE-ON 20X DVD±R DVD Burner With 12X DVD-RAM Write Black SATA Model LH-20A1S OEM BK -Creative 70SB046A00000 7.1 Channels PCI Interface Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Professional Series -ZALMAN 9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler -AOC FC-2000 PCI Slot Case Cooler -COOLER MASTER RS-550-ACLY ATX12V / EPS12V 550W Power Supply 115 I collected most of it myself with some tips from a computer hardware/software literate friend(this is under a budget ofcourse) Hopefully its good enough to play BF2, The Witcher, Sims 2, KOTOR, Sacred, and any other high grapics or resources demanding game, plus any new game I want muwahaha. I plan on keeping this build for a few years, I dont usually put resolution on the max because im just not THAT anal over res or graphical quality. Just something to play high enough on 1280x1024ish(or maybe once higher). My friend told me to also buy an 80mm and a 120mm fan to replace stock ones because thier usually too slow, so I did, im thinking of putting the stock one on the side vent(if there is space from CPU cooler) to blow air into the Case as well. then that would be two 80mms blowing into the case, and one 120mm exahust with another 80mm in a PCI sleeve. Also gonna use a windows XP 64bit OS. Hopefully this thing is what will relieve me of all pain and headaches ive been getting from having sh*tty pre-builts. Too bad the last time for me to use it would be the summer of 2008(hopefully enlisting in the Army soon)

| I wouldnt have exactly gone with a FX-anything, but im guessing you already ordered it....its a good CPU, dont get me wrong, it'll play everything you listed at highest settings and more. But you should be good to go with it.

| Wait, can you give me more feedback, as to why, not go with FX anything? I mean Ive seen alot of good reviews(even personal contacts) about the processor. I was going to buy the 6000+ X2, but this one seemed like a step up for only 40$ more.

| Quite honesty, the prices on the Core 2 Duo's have come down enough to where going with an AMD processor isn't going to save you much money.
