AVI to WMV converter
 

I'd like to connect my 360 through Windows Vista Media Center and watch an AVI file. This is not an option though. While I can watch it through Media Center on my PC, it doesn't work on my 360. The 360 doesn't support AVI files I guess, so it appears that I need to convert that AVI to a WMV formart.

I looked into the whole MCE extender addon, which is suppose to work to fix this, however it was created for the XP Media Center. I'm using the Vista Media Center, so that option is out of the question, sadly. (and it seemed so simple too)

This is newbish territory to me as I've never done this, nor do I know the results (worse quality and sound or what?)

Any tips on programs or opinions? Should I just watch the damn thing on my monitor or try to get it going so I can watch it on my TV?

P.S. - Right now I'm downloading a couple programs found through a google search. BlazeMP, 101 AVI Converter and Xilisoft Video Converter 3.1.

Any tips I should know when going through the actual converting process?
