Help with wireless connection

My wireless connection always seems to be like this, despite the fact that our Belkin Router is less than a couple of yards away. This same problem also happens to my sister's comp in the same room.

We keep our comps in the side cabinet of our desks, though I don't think this is the problem because it has been in this position for over a year without a problem. This only started occurring 1-2 months ago.

If it helps, my network authentication is WPA-PSK and TKIP data encryption.

I have tried "Repair" constantly, and restarts as well, to no avail.

Gaming and internet are a lot slower than usual.

Please help!

Are you actually having issues with the connection running slowly? Or is it just the bars are constantly empty, and the speed of the connection is un-effected?

Have you tried to reinstall your wireless drivers?
