185737 Raid Anvil January 4th, 2001 04:56 AM Anyone know if small capacity IDE drives are available. I'm thinking maybe 4-8 gigs for a reasonable price. As much as RAID 5 is slower on writing stuff, you'll notice two things: 1) It's the fastest of them all for reading (IME). 2) If one of the drives dies, you simply swap in your spare and give it a couple of hours to rebuild your data. ------------------ Chris Shepherd Quote:
