Monster 3D II & Windows 2000 Professional

Any idea how this combination can work together, no matter what I do the 3dfx card will not show up in the Direct X Diagnostic Program. In the Device Manager, it is working perfectly though.

Direct X Drivers Version: 4.07.00.0700
(the copy that comes installed on win 2000)
Voodoo 2 Drivers Version: 1.0.1.0
(beta reference drivers from www.3dfx.com)

Please help http://www.veforums.com/smile.gif

By the way, I tried to register but it said my email address already had somebody registered under that...

Ive tried to get my Voodoo2 working with Windows2000 too but have also had no luck. I think we are going to have to put out a few bucks and get a TNT2 or geforce.

There is no OFFICIAL V2 driver for Win2K - most drivers lying around use a hacked NT driver. Since the NT driver doesn't support Direct3D there is no D3D support in most of the Win2K drivers.

There is a hacked Win2K driver here that claims to support D3D. I have no idea how well it works, and I don't know where it's posted. Try ReactorCritical.com and VoodooFiles.com
