Funky Problem

Sorry I couldn't have put a more helpful title, but it's a hard problem to describe...

It may be more than one problem...

1. I can't print MSWord(2003) docuements OR PDF files; my computer freezes.

I'm using a Brother DCP 120C USB printer/scanner/copier.

Not sure if I can describe it more; it just freezes...:(

2. Loss of mouse control; or something;

Sometimes when I'm browsing(I'm using Firefox 2.0), an odd problem will occur where when I click on a menu item I have no control; the cursor will move down the row of menus.

For example, say I click Tools or something, it gets highlighted blue, but that menu and the highlight MOVE down the list of highlights.

I'm going to try to get it on tape sometimes, as you can tell I'm having a hard time describing it.

Do you mean you can print any other type of document but not these ?
I'd say it's probably a virus if so, or maybe a memory occupation problem if those files you tried are somehow big...

I bet you have an optical mouse, huh ? ^^
If so, I'd advise to try with another mouse pad.

Re: Funky Problem

if your computer freezes, it is probablly a cause of running to many programs that your RAM cant handle.

i think this might help:
1) click on start and go to Run
2) type in "msconfig"
3) go to the last tab (i think) and uncheck all the programs that do not need to be running.

by the way, this is just a temporary fix, if it does, you will probably need to clean your computer.
