Default Issue with media players

Hello.

I have a problem that is bugging the crap out of me. Every time I watch a video that is not part of a disc, the screen turns green, bit by bit, at random intervals. Sometimes I can make it through the entire video, but usually not.

The most common area for this problem is with online videos, namely mtv.com, bigandrich.comand other such sites. I also have this problem with videos I downloaded off Itunes.

Another issue is that some videos just won't play. I click on the link, the media player comes up, and nothing happens. No loading or anything.

Any help is appreciated.

What type of internet connection do you have? System specs would be good too.

Try reintalling your media player, the codecs, for the media player, your video driver, and your audio driver.

Apologies for the delay.

I have tried reinstalling everything but the audio driver. Will do that.

Internet connection is cable. Never had any issues with it before.

What (if any) media player is MTV.com using? Windows Media Player? Real Player? A Flash bassed player?

I suggest you try VLC media player, it uses its own codecs & runs nearly every movie format out there.

Also try MPlayer similar to VLC, but harder to install on Windows.
