Default DVD question

I have a DVD/CD burner combo.
which means my computer will only be able to watch dvd but burn cds
Is there any way I burn a dvd or burn clips to cd that I can watch in a dvd player? thx

It's not likely, as almost all DVD players won't recognize regular CDs.

Most DVD players do recognize audio and video CDs.

Programs like Nero can convert and burn video clips to VCD format to play on set-top DVD players.

which verison of Nero should I use?

Yes, but only to a CD...not a DVD.
The later versions of Nero will do it...6 and 7 for sure.
