My computer has completely messed itself over and I really need some help. Yesterday my computer was infected with really annoying spyware. I managed to get rid of it but now my display is set to 4bit color and i cannot change it, the spyware is still there and many other problems. I want to reformat because everything is messed up. I poped in my windows disc but it won't boot at start up so i can't reformat the drive. I can open it when i am in windows but i dont think it will reformat when i install. Can i reformat with windows disc when already in windows. Does anyone know another safe way to reformat my drive. If so please tell me.

How are you trying to boot to the CD? When you put it in and then restart, at the first screen, start pressing the button for boot menu (or something of the like, often F8).

The key to enter setup on mine is R.
Error41, just look towards the bottom of the screen when you turn the computer on (with reboot disc in) and it should show something like 'Press R key to enter reboot setup' or something along the lines of that.

In your BIOS, make sure you're set up to boot from CD.
