Downgrade.

Ok, well I have installed my new memory. OCZ PC4000 2 GB kit, upgraded from Geil Value Ram 1 GB. Before the 'upgrade', my 3dMark 06 score was around 4300. Now, it is 3800.

What is the deal? Have I done something wrong?

hmmm, are you using both ram kits at the same time? might be underclocking the RAM itself

maybe you lost dual channel-capability?

Well, check under the hood (what does the settings say? cpu-z, bios?) I also beleive it initially freaked and underclocked itself and/or lost dual channel by how you may have placed it on the board. Hopefully you placed them in the proper mem slots and only using your newer ram. If you are running them on all 4 slots you may have lost DC and your new ram got under clocked to run at the latency of your value ram.

Yep. I did it all right. I'm an idiot. My GPU overclock was switched off. :lookaround:

Thanks anyway.
