They just keep coming back!!!!!! I switched video cards from an ATI to an Nvidia. I uninstalled the drivers from ati because I realised they would cause conflict when initiating certain games. However, the conflict was still there. I found some ati .dll files in WINDOWS/system32 that were linked to ati. I deleted them, but when I went back to system32, the little buggars just came back. Does anyone know a way to permantly exterminate these .dll files, cause it is conflicting with Nvidia stuff. |
Re: They just keep coming back!!!!!! there may be some temporary installation files somewhere, try searching your drive for .tmp files. have a look at what they are from and delete them if associated with Ati |
Re: They just keep coming back!!!!!! You might have some luck using the ATI Catalyst Driver Uninstaller: Here's a link to it: http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=1275 It was made by ATI, so it's also available from ATI's website. |
Re: They just keep coming back!!!!!! I could not find any .tmp files linking to ATI. I had tried that before, still no luck. The Catalyst uninstaller was already used before, again, still no luck. |
Re: They just keep coming back!!!!!! have you got the Nvidia card installed? if you have onboard graphics try removing the Nvidia and deleting the drivers then use drivercleaner. |
