Default Google Desktop and your Privacy

Its new desktop search application would make your personal files available for government searches without your knowledge. read more http://www.technologyreview.com/Info...64,300,p1.html

That's a pretty arogaint statement. If anything, they're about innovation and providing the highest quality services to their users. They give so much and ask so little in return.

But, I certianly don't appreciate them making our computer's files visable to anyone else. It was a poor decision not to inform the user durring the install that this would be the case.

If there is no answer to your tech question, try asking in the General Tech Support Area gamingforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=398

No, its not the same. Its the desktop search program that the government can use to search your files on your hard drive, not the web-based search bars like in firefox.
