Join Date: October 22nd, 1999 Rep Power: 36 | Some LX mobos can't support the current demand of the V3 and TNT2. Nothing you can do except replace the mobo.
HOWEVER, since it actually runs for a few minutes before acting up, it's more likely it's a heat related problem. Try running it with the cover off the computer and see if that helps. If you have a desk fan, point it at it. If it behaves, or behaves substantially longer, it's probably a heat problem.
Are you overclocking the V3 - try setting it to normal?
A Radio Shack 486 heatsink fan will screw right onto the V3's heatsink and makes a dandy cooler, but you'll need to leave an empty slot next to it.
