VOODOO3 3000 INSTALL

I HAVE A ABIT LX BOARD PII 266 64MB
WHEN YOU BOOT THE COMPUTER COLD IT`S OK.
BUT WHEN IT GETS HOT (2-3 MIN) WE GET LINES UP AND DOWN THE SCREEN AND THE COMPUTER LOCKS UP.

IS THE LX BOARD COMPATIBLE TO A VOODOO 3000?

WHAT CAN I DO????

Some LX mobos can't support the current demand of the V3 and TNT2. Nothing you can do except replace the mobo.

HOWEVER, since it actually runs for a few minutes before acting up, it's more likely it's a heat related problem. Try running it with the cover off the computer and see if that helps. If you have a desk fan, point it at it. If it behaves, or behaves substantially longer, it's probably a heat problem.

Are you overclocking the V3 - try setting it to normal?

A Radio Shack 486 heatsink fan will screw right onto the V3's heatsink and makes a dandy cooler, but you'll need to leave an empty slot next to it.

Thanks for your help..
I sent a email to abit and they also told me that it was a current problem, but they also told me that it could be fixed...
How to fix it they would not tell me.. (NO SURPRISE)
Time for a new mobo..
Thanks again for your help.......
