Games And WinXPx64 bit Edtn Hey all, I was just wondering where I could find patches for games to run on 64bit, I have tried a few sites...and came up empty, thx... |
Re: Games And WinXPx64 bit Edtn If you got Windows XP 64bit then you kinda screwed your self over. Not to many games have patchs to run on the 64bit Edtion. |
Re: Games And WinXPx64 bit Edtn You go to Far Cry's homepage (whatever that is) and download the 64-bit patch. That's it, you're done. |
Re: Games And WinXPx64 bit Edtn Thats just far cry though. He might want other games. |

You figured out the source to a different problem that you didn't even come close to even attempting to articulate in this thread. Nevermind the solution, which you don't seem to have the first clue about. Unfortunately for you, it seems that you're the ignorant fool, unaware that--'lo and behold!--there is such a thing as a "64-bit patch". If you want an answer, then think about what you ask before you open your mouth. That's doubly true when it comes to insulting people. |
Re: Games And WinXPx64 bit Edtn haha, u take the word fool to offense, I find you funny...And yes, it is the problem winxp 64-bit 100% compatible with Direct 3D, not compatible with OpenGL. OpenGL as rederer=no 64Bit now...read my other thread, wiat, lol, I just pretty much summed it up there. |
Re: Games And WinXPx64 bit Edtn how did you sum it up? i just read your other thread and all you did was ask another question. try http://www.opengl.org/ there may be an answer there i recall that with Far Cry in one of the config files it was possible to change a setting from direct3d to opengl, which improved the graphics considerably. that or go to the website of whoever made the game/s you play, a lot of them have FAQ's or maybe forums where you could post a question as to which games you are talking about well you dont name them, which just makes it difficult to give any advice as for your comps specs, well i would upgrade your ram 256mb is a minimum and ddr 266 is well slow these days, tho that depends on what the motherboard supports |
