Will a 6800GT bottlneck?

hi there i got a qquestion i got a Pentuiim 4 prescott 2,4 ghz and i was thinking of a new videocard will a 6800GT bottleneck at me? cuse a friend of me had a amd 2800+ and he bought a 6800gt then a bottlneck apeared...i dont wanna waste anymoney i got a Ti 4200 now.

Yeah it will bottleneck in games like CS:S, but it will be alot better than your ti4200.

I own one with a 2.4ghz p4 and I only get about %60 of the performace.

If you are building a new computer then wait on geting a new video card.

The 6800 won't be the choke on that system; the CPU will.

Be wise to go to at least a 3.0ghz Intel then you should be fine. But be wise to go ahead and just build a new PC.
