Hey FP or anybody else I need some help
 

I justrecntly bought a SoundBlaster Live! value and since then every now and then when i'm either playing a game or listening to MP3s and surfing the web my whole system will freeze. I haven't tried switching the slots yet or anything.

I would:
1. make sure you have the newest drivers.

2. try your machine without the card, chuck in a sb16 (just to make sure it's actually posing the problem

I have been using a SoundblasterPCI64 for a few months and haven't had a problem.

I would download Live!Ware 3.0 but when I have tried that before i lost a lot of environments and stuff. I would like to know how you can figure out which version of Live!Ware you have.

WOOHOO!!!!! Seems like my problem went away after I switched some cards around. Didn't follow exactly what u said to do FP but I just switched some cards.
Here's what I did:

Network Card
SB Live! Value
Free
Voodoo 3

But FP didn't say switch slots did he, No I did and what was it that fixed your problem.

P.S. I haven't read FP article in IRQ sharing but if it refers to switching slots remember I said it to you on the bus prior to your post here.
