Pixel trouble.......... In the new F.E.A.R. demo, and in the Battlefield 2 demo i get pixels all over the screen (and not the good kind) I happens mainly in very shadowy areas, but not on the shadows, just around the shadows, and some light sources.......its like a pattern of red or white pixels, and when i turn so the shadow is different, or im not facing that particular spot...they go away |
Re: Pixel trouble.......... i dont quite get what your saying, you gotta screeny at all? all i can suggest from there is make sure you have the latest graphics drivers |
Re: Pixel trouble.......... i got the newest Omegas, and ill try to get a screeny... |
Re: Pixel trouble.......... have you tried the official ATI drivers at all? getting them might help |
Re: Pixel trouble.......... i might, and here is a screeny........they are flashing while ingame...this is one frame, so it doesnt show the full effect of them. |
Re: Pixel trouble.......... i would suggest getting the official ATI drivers and also, to me certain, make sure your card isnt overheating, overheating can cause many problems, especially on newer games since the card uses more power and will get hotter |
Re: Pixel trouble.......... That definately looks like a heat problem, to me. Although, the spots are usualy green, on my Geforce 4. |
Re: Pixel trouble.......... well, according to ATI tools, the hottest my card got was 68 when i was playing....... and if its heat, why does it ONLY happen at certain spots, with a lot of shadowing and special lighting and the rest of this graphic mumbo jumbo and the ATI drivers didnt help it |

Come to think of it, it may not be heat... It may actually have to do with the clock settings. If they are too well optimized, the card can become unstable. When it gets unstable, artifacts show up. Try downclocking your card a little. With the memory, try to find a good ratio. Either 1:1, or 1:4 (memory:core). |
Re: Pixel trouble.......... well, its at stock.......ill turn it down a bit |
