Ugh Crt Monitor Piece of crap has 3 gashes of glass... gimme a LCD :) |
Re: Ugh Crt Monitor Well, if you want suggestions on a new monitor, then you should post your price range, what size you want, etc. |
Re: Ugh Crt Monitor Indeed. If your going TFT then at least go 19". That way you can comfortbly run higher resolutions and get some sweet pictures. |
Re: Ugh Crt Monitor Hmm, yeah, TFTs are good and all, but they can be damned unreliable. First one I used had dead pixels. I use a CRT now mainly; I just find the image to be much clearer and sharper than a TFT. Especially since I'm a gamer, It makes things a lot easier. |
Re: Ugh Crt Monitor hehe i got 2 CRT 21" an it kicks ass. |

Re: Ugh Crt Monitor i got a 17" LCD and i love it, only problem is it makes the room really hot after a while. Its a Iiyama ProLite E435s :) |

I had the chance to get a 21" display myself. It did not have as good a picture, as my 17" Apple Studio Display (CRT). Then it was terribly heavy. I think it must have been atleast 100lbs. I understand they have gotten a good bit lighter, since. I don't plan on upgrading to the difficult Flat Panels anytime soon. If I want to play a game at any res below 800x600, I will not be able to see the game. Too small... The black lines at 800x600 would get too annoying. I just can't stand those things. I can't imagine how all those people who ant to run Windows at 640x480, just to be able to see everything, can cope. |
Re: Ugh Crt Monitor yh it was 2 21" or 1 18" LCD and i wanted bigger than nicer. |

I'm currently on an Old HP Ergo 1024 15'' |
Re: Ugh Crt Monitor I remember all too well the pain of 15" monitors. *shudders* |
Re: Ugh Crt Monitor Ya just buy a new CRT i have a 19" CRT, plus unless you get a more expensve one that has around 8MS response time you will notice ghosting on some FPS' |
