Well, if you want suggestions on a new monitor, then you should post your price range, what size you want, etc.

Indeed.

If your going TFT then at least go 19". That way you can comfortbly run higher resolutions and get some sweet pictures.

Hmm, yeah, TFTs are good and all, but they can be damned unreliable. First one I used had dead pixels. I use a CRT now mainly; I just find the image to be much clearer and sharper than a TFT. Especially since I'm a gamer, It makes things a lot easier.

Well, good for you. Back breaking work, trying to move those things. Just to dust out from under the base, and around it. To rearrange the room, and make it feel new again. Whatever...

I had the chance to get a 21" display myself. It did not have as good a picture, as my 17" Apple Studio Display (CRT). Then it was terribly heavy. I think it must have been atleast 100lbs. I understand they have gotten a good bit lighter, since.

I don't plan on upgrading to the difficult Flat Panels anytime soon. If I want to play a game at any res below 800x600, I will not be able to see the game. Too small... The black lines at 800x600 would get too annoying. I just can't stand those things.

I can't imagine how all those people who ant to run Windows at 640x480, just to be able to see everything, can cope.
