Athlon upgrade?

I have an AMD 64 3000+ (Newcastle) in a 754 mobo.
Is the highest upgrade on that socket the 3700+?
If i upgraded it to that, what performance increases would i expect?
What about upgrading to a 3400+, are they any good?

And which is better: Newcastle or Clawhammer?

Highest you can go is 3700+. Performance would increase and specialy in games you would get more FPS and things would load a lot faster. A 3400+ is good and you would still see a increase. Also Clawhammer is better.
