Well your HDD is SATA 150, whereas your motherboard has 4 x SATA II. Those are two different interfaces. Either change your choice in HDD, or motherboard so they both match.

No they're not.
"SATA II" is a marketing term that companies like to use to sell more drives at higher prices. The standard itself (for next-gen SATA interfaces) has been renamed "SATA-IO". Moreover, all of the next generation SATA controllers (including that one built into nF4) are backwards compatible with older (SATA-150) drives.
It's possible that a "SATA II" drive may not work on an older SATA-150 controller, but it is far more likely that you'd simply lose the benefits of the newer drive technology (just as you can run an ATA133 Maxtor on an ATA66 controller if you do desire).
Correct me if I'm wrong (and forgive me for jumping in) but wouldn't it have been cheaper (and easier) to order from Cyber Power ? http://www.cyberpowersystem.com/high...ra9000.asp?v=d
Change a few things in that system and it's equal to or better than the system you listed, at the same price or cheaper, correct? And no building.

I'll go away now
I'll play around with it and see. Thx for the input.

I tried it but it costs way more than the one I have there.

Really? I never knew that.
So you're telling me that I can plug my SATA 150 cable into a SATA II slot on a motherboard and it will all work? Interesting. This changes everything...
