Win XP 64 is not worth it. Doesnt even take full advantage of 64 bits.

Indeed. Stay with 32bit or if you do want to try 64bit use linux :P Better yet use linux :P

Not really, for a home computer. That's more of a server motherboard. I recommend getting a motherboard with a CPU socket of 939, which gives you a huge variety of processors to pick from. 4GB of RAM maximum is plenty, you won't even need that much for years to come. Two PCI-E x16 slots that can run in SLI mode are nice too.
