Also, something I learned once, if you do lose all your music but have it all on your iPod, Apple officially says you are screwed. The iPod was made so you can transfer music from your computer to the player, but not vice versa in order to prevent file sharing. What you can do in this situation though, is make sure there are absolutly no iPod drivers on your computer, and iTunes is uninstalled, and plug your iPod into your computer. Windows will recognize it as an external hard drive, but the music files are all in hidden folders. Select to view hidden folders and the "settings" folder appears. Inside this folder there is a folder labled "music" and all your music is inside a series of folders labled F00-FXX within that hidden music folder. |
