Re: internet is screwed up worked before what? |
Re: internet is screwed up before yesterday |
Re: internet is screwed up well... if its not firewall, antivirus, spyware, or moden... then i guess your just kinda screwed. I'd call the internet provider and complain. |
Re: internet is screwed up if anyone figures something out, try to contact or post, i hate this http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...zy/uo_fuck.gif |
Re: internet is screwed up If you're using a router, then yes, you do have a firewall. All routers have built-in hardware firewalls, and can have seperate systems to have specific ports open. So if you moved your pc, or switched which port it connected to, you could run into problems. Check your routers documentation on the ip address and login information to access your routers settings. If you do not have them, check the vendors site under it's help page to give you the information you require. Also, windows has it's own little firewall that may cause you problems. If you're using a router, you do not need this to be running. From the control panel, go to network connections and right click on your local connection, click properties, and disable firewall. |
Re: internet is screwed up looks........ interesting but yes call up your internet provider or reinstall the games |
Re: internet is screwed up posifozzy, Windows XP comes with a Firewall, unlike previous versions. Service Pack 2 automatically enables the Firewall. If you think you don't have one, then it is enabled. So your behind two firewalls. I did find this site. Which shows you how to check the status of your XP firewall. http://support.shaw.ca/networks/xpfirewall.htm To add a game, I believe you add a service to the firewall. I don't have Windows XP, so I can't check. |
Re: internet is screwed up its prob your router, also check and see if windows firewall is configured right, hmm, some firewalls dont turn off even if you exit through there system tray |
Re: internet is screwed up i already had windows firewall disabled, and the routers always been fine, i DID however have 5 trojans when i scanned, but none the less, its sad ill call cox today |
Re: internet is screwed up reinstalling didnt work and i plugged myself directly into the modem still didnt work, so its probably not the router, i dont know, its just pissing me off, ill probably reformat this weekend, see if that doesn anything |
