I was wondering if anyone knows how to get your vcr/dvd player to play through the computer so that you could either take screen shot's or record snippets of video? If so what do i need to make it work?

There may be a piece of software with some kind of connector that allows you do rewind/fast forward ect. Like i said in a earlier post, there is something called Dazzel that allows you to copy your VHS tapes into DVDs and with that software, there is a good chance you could record a little snippet of the video and then play it back or add captions ect. You may be able to take screenshots by playing your video on windows media player and then pressing the Print Screen key while it is on full screen mode playing your video.
