yeah i used to use getright when i was one dial up, i still have it though for those really large downloads 1.5GB+

Leechget is a great download excellerator if your on dial up or ADSL( my 512k speed increased by about 1/4 and my ads 56k was downloading at abut 12/15kbps) but if you using cable or anything over 400kbps nothing will speed things up much...

well, i wouldnt use any download accelortaor, but getright is the best. Do not get DAP.

Download accelerators (damn sp) are generally spyware ridden pieces of crap ( see DAP).
Programs like GetRight can improve speed but, in my experience, only when dealing with a slow server as all they do is establish mulitple connections and down load the file in parts (somtimes corrupting it) .
99% of the time your connection is the bottle neck, not the server (especially if you think a download accelerator is nesacary) which means they are more or less useless.
The resume feature can be useful but 9 times out of 10 sites dont even let you resume.

Find a decent FTP file host (blueyondergames, wireplay etc) and FTP to it (allows you to resume). Only problem bieng FTP host are never updated as often as sites like filefront or fileplanet (SucksPlanet).
