MSN Messenger Worm !!!!

Theres a new Worm thats out on the net and its spreading through MSN messenger. Details are at the following site:

Yep my Email found its way onto the list. Its dyeing down a bit now though. Used to be about 30+ emails a day now its down to 20 over 3 days.

But seriously, anyone who opens one of those attachments deserves to get a virus. They are blatantly not safe to open.

isn't anything with a .pif extension bad?
if so, i've seen some varient on an AIM away message. i think it was something like bestfriends.pif

I havent been getting emails, its been trying to send itself through the msn messenger chat window from my friends pc's. I've been telling them if someone tries to send something ask them what it is but dont accept until you know what it is.

Not necessarily, but there's absolutely no reason for someone to be sending you a .pif file in the first place, so that alone should raise a huge, flapping red flag.
