Re: Need XP for this? And a few administration features, for added security. Well, Windows XP isn't as big a drop in quality from Windows XP, as Windows ME was from Windows 2000. I would agree with Gogetenkz, get WinXP Pro, Win2K Pro users will find WinXP Home to be a step backwards, with so many usefull features having been removed. Windows Trees. Re: Need XP for this? It's their "New Technology", built off a totally different codebase than DOS. Which is a good thing. I think it was headed by a guy who used to do VAXen and such. Anyway, it's what Windows NT4, 2000 and XP are all based off of. Basically, a much better subsystem. In truth, it's got some very unixy behaviors that they hode from the end user very well. |
