Hi,
Not sure why it won't burn onto CD-R if it will burn to CD-Rw (it's usually the other way round if you're having problems)

Stick with Nero though (Its the best and has lots more features)

I'm sure ShOrD will come up with something to help ya out though.
Just don't dump Nero

I haven't seen any real problems with this CD Burner. Words of advice: Use the Nero 5.5 that comes with the product. Also, whatever brand the cd-rw and cd-r are that came with it, stick with it. It generally works with the product.

I came across a couple of sites that might help you make the experience better and might even solve the problem with the CD-R.

http://www.cdrlabs.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=7827

Also, I have a burner program that might make the CD-R problem disappear. Here is the site: http://www.feurio.com/English/Download/

It is compatible with this CD Burner and I have heard good things with this software and hardware. Try it out.

If none of these suggestions work, I'm sure the Feurio software will. But if it also doesn't work let me know and I can ask a few people who are techie with CD Burners/Software.
