I just purchase Need for Speed Underground 2 for my PC. I have a HP Pavilion ze4900 Notebook everything stock. On my game the graphics arnt very good at all. does this notebook not made for games with graphics like that? what should i get to fix it or could i just download something that will help it? some one please help me thank-you
Take a look on the back of the game's box at the requirements. I looked at the spec for your laptop and its only got 256 MB ram and 64 MB onboard graphics.
It will struggle to play that game mate.
You could try installing more RAM to your laptop, youll probably be bale to get 256MB on ebay for 20 quid. Then maybe go into the BIOS and increase the Shared Video memory.
Even then the gains probably aren't worth the hassle. I'd either play it on a desktop or get a less demanding game if i were you.

Some ram would help, but a new Comp(perferbably desktop if you can) will help %200 For about $800 you can get a comp 2x as fast as the good laptops out there.

If you're after graphics, you can't beat a PC. Some laptops are capable of handling games, though they won't be able to run newer games in high graphics. They're great for their mobility, so I wouldn't just chuck your laptop out the window. Buy a PC as well.
If you can't/can't be bothered to learn how to build your own PC, I'd suggest you look at small, local, independent stores. Their deals are usually infinitely better than large multinational brands, and their PCs are usually higher spec. Just be careful you don't buy one without a screen, unless you already have a screen you can use or know where to get one cheaper.

I hate Alienware. They're the Apple of performance PCs (overpriced and more concerned with selling an image than a computer).
Falcon NW is decent, as they're relatively local.
And I might allow Voodoo to have my money, largely because anyone who can build a wholly fanless power rig deserves it. Even if it is $4,000.
Anyway, that was a rather pointless rant.
The question has been answered already: your graphics suck because you're using a notebook. PCs are superior, but there are some pretty bloody competent laptops out there. They just cost a pretty penny over a comparable desktop.
However, you can get custom-built laptops. I know someone who can (and will, if you order one) put together custom laptops. Graphics are typically the biggest stick, virtually always being integrated.
Its just that Falcon Northwest's Laptops seem relatively obscure... Or easily forgotten...
I didn't even know VoodooPC made laptops...
Aleinware's Laptops are just like their PCs. Thats why I remember them, and therefore recommend them. Dell and Gateway have had very good DRS but I haven't found any recently.

That's a general sentiment on my part, and it applies to everything made by such companies. I'd just as soon pass up Alienware's prettied-up housings in favour of a nice, simple laptop from ASUS or SuperMicro.
