Hey all, I need some reccomendations, on programs that allow me to convert .mov's (Qucktime) to anything Windows Movie Maker compatible, wether it be .mpegs or whatever.
Any ideas? I know all I can get with free trials, is probably low quality watermarked clips, but im willing to pay. I just need program names!
Thanks.
Pretty Soon, I Don't Know What, But Something is Going To Happen...
Well most software that does this requires payment I think but I dug up a trial version of a product (WinMPG) that should convert .mov to .avi which I believe Movie Maker can read from here.
Try searching for RADTools, its the Tools used for BINK video, in most Quake3 engine games. It CAN convert Mov, to AVI. That should work. There are also a dozen other supported formats to convert between.
RADVideo is discontinued (last time I checked) but still in use by major game studos (EA Games, Activision, Raven Software, Ritual Entertainment, ID Software, etc.)

If you need MPG, then I know of one other tool, OpenFX, it is bundled with a few (complicated, and easy to use at the same time) tools to convert. It supports gif, flc, avi, and MPG. Each according to its respective program.
Remember where you installed it to, most of the installed shortcuts rarely work. The Main program OpenFX is a 3D modeling tool, very powerfull, but old. The Main components, you won't need (OpenFX.exe, Animator.exe, Designer.exe, Render.exe).

I hope that helped... They are all free...
