Default 3D card Drivers help GeForce4

I have a NVIDIA GeForce4 ti 4600 and I downloaded new drivers for it, but when i went to install these drivers i get an error message that says, "The software you are installing for this hardware: [my 3d card] has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its combatability with Windows XP."

Then it goes on to say how installing these may destabilize my PC's operation and that windows strongly suggests i dont continue installation. And that i should contact NVIDIA to see if it is Windows XP compatable. I need to know if this si important or if installing them can easily be reversed?

Thanks in advance.

So long as you picked the right driver, you'll be fine. Just click continue anyway.

I had the same msg come up when I upgraded my GeForce FX card driver.
2nd best thing I did all weekend.

All that means is that the drivers are new and are not WHQL approved. (Windows Hardware Quality Labs IIRC).

If you do have problems you normally cant uninstall but I think you can find a program called detonater blaster that is made to uninstall detonator drivers then you can reinstall.

Nvidia drivers are usually pretty good. WHQL means that Windows has tested the drivers and verified them to be 100% compatible with Windows.
