the other day. i turned off the monitor and back on and it gave me a message that is embedded in the monitor. it said cant find signal or not connected. i checked the cables and everything is plugged as it should be. is it possibly my vid card? i have a year old ATI 128mb AGP Radeon 9600/9700(cant remember which one) any help would help me.
remember when we all had the game systems that you would have to blow out the plugs and cartrages? do that. open up your cpu case and just blow out the pci connection or change the pci port. thatn blow out the cable and port for the cable.
ok will try that. FYI...my screeensaver had "stopped" and the PC would not respond when i would press a key or move the mouse. i had to do a cold shutdown and then it never came back up
