Re: Is it possible to overclock dual... I found a water cooling system. its $229 and comes with anti-alge adative:lol: |
Re: Is it possible to overclock dual... i used distiled water, helps prevent algae. sometimes the performance increase seen by overclocking is neglegable, you would most likely see the difference if you ran a benchmark before the modifying and then ran it after succesful overclocking. run it a few times each and come up with an average. any application that requires a lot of redundant processing would witness a noticable boost, such as video editors. good sites for OC info, and utilites http://www.cpuid.com/index.php good good tool to se where your comp setting are. http://www.overclockers.com/ may be the longest running OC forum. http://is-it-true.org/nt/xp/registry/index.shtml other ways to speed up and maximize performance. |
Re: Is it possible to overclock dual... When i bought my CPUs the manual said that they souldn't reach any higher than 80C and i am on the brakeing point with no lights on or anything. Does the system become unstable after 80 or something? |
Re: Is it possible to overclock dual... teh system may still be stable but there are levels that have been tested that can cause say faster degradation of the material and well maybe its is less stable, the higher the temp the higher the current leak which i assume would weaken the signal thru the CPU. |
Re: Is it possible to overclock dual... how do i run a test for cpu speed??? |
Re: Is it possible to overclock dual... heres a good all around benchmark http://www.futuremark.com/download/?3dmark03.shtml this is a sytem benchmarker with other good utilities. http://www.sisoftware.net/index.html...on&langx=en&a= |
